A Sunset Engagement Session in Toulouse (Yes, She Said Yes)

Toulouse, France

Carmes, Bikes & a Very Clear Plan

They came to Toulouse for the Tour de France. At least that’s what she thought. He, however, had other plans.

The race was the official reason. The proposal? Carefully orchestrated. When we met in Carmes, she had just said yes. That kind of yes where everything feels slightly unreal and you keep looking at your hand to check if it actually happened.

He looked relieved. She looked glowing. Both of them looked like they hadn’t fully processed it yet.

Which, honestly, is my favourite moment to photograph.

Carmes, Pink Brick & That “We’re Engaged” Energy

We started in Carmes, where the pink brick basically does half the aesthetic work for you.

But honestly? The architecture was irrelevant.

She couldn’t stop staring at him. He had that very specific just-proposed expression. Half proud. Half relieved. Like he’d just completed a secret mission.

They weren’t posing. They were processing the moment where everything has changed, but nothing has changed yet.

You’re still walking around Toulouse with the same person. You just happen to be engaged now.

Sunset by the Garonne

From Carmes, we wandered down toward the Garonne.

As the evening settled in, the city softened. The light turned golden. The river reflected everything back in that calm, slightly cinematic way Toulouse does so well.

We talked about the proposal. About what comes next. About how sometimes the best trips are the ones where you come back engaged.

By the time the sun dipped lower, it felt less like a photoshoot and more like a celebration walk.

Toulouse was the setting.
The yes was the story.

Engaged in Toulouse?

Let’s go for a walk. I’ll bring the camera.
