Documenting Your Wedding Day

the way it actually felt

For couples who prefer real over perfect

The Weddings I Photograph

Couple during their civil wedding ceremony at the Capitole de Toulouse — intimate documentary photography by Moana Ghiandoni

Civil Wedding

Civil weddings are really simple, but they’re full of meaning. Because they don’t have as many formalities and the whole thing is usually shorter, people can focus on what’s really important: the couple, their feelings, and the special moments they share. It’s a time to appreciate the little things and the love that’s between them.

It’s ideal for couples who value intention over spectacle and want their story documented honestly, without performance.

Intimate Wedding

Intimate weddings move at a slower pace. With a smaller guest count, there’s more room for connection, conversation, and real presence.

Nothing feels overwhelming. Nothing feels staged.

This setting allows relationships to take center stage.

Perfect for couples who want depth over scale and care more about how it felt than how it looked.

Destination Weddings

Destination weddings are shaped by place as much as by people.

New landscapes, unfamiliar light, different rhythms. Everything becomes part of the story.

There’s something grounding about celebrating somewhere meaningful, be it a childhood memory, a dream location, or simply a place that feels like you.

For couples who see travel as part of their identity and want their photographs to reflect both the setting and the connection within it.

Elopements

Elopements are intentional by nature. Often quiet and deeply personal, they centre on the experience itself rather than on expectations or traditions. The absence of a strict schedule allows moments to unfold freely and organically.

Elopements are for couples who want intimacy, autonomy, and a story that feels true to them, without distraction or performance.

Love, timeless as ever

Your wedding doesn’t need to be extravagant to be unforgettable.
It doesn’t need trends.
It doesn’t need perfection.

It just needs to feel real.

Grounded. Emotional. Unfiltered.

A day where you’re fully present.
Where the light matters.
Where the people around you matter even more.

The photos don’t make the day special.
They make sure you never forget how it felt.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding-day experience or more breathtaking photographs. Moana truly captured every moment with artistry and ease. From our first conversation, her kindness and passion shone through. She listened to our vision, added wonderful suggestions, and was truly the most wonderful collaborator.

      Photography Style & Editing

      Editorial and timeless, never forced

My approach sits somewhere between documentary and editorial.

I capture life as it happens, without interfering or setting it up. But at the same time, I’m always on the lookout for good light, interesting composition, and a certain atmosphere, so my photos don’t look like they were taken by chance. I want them to feel thoughtful and intentional, like I meant to take them, not just like I stumbled upon something and snapped a quick picture.

Storytelling is at the center of it all. Not just the big moments, but the pauses, the in-between, the small gestures that hold everything together.

I prefer to work with natural light whenever I can. It helps keep the colours looking warm and true to what they really are. When I edit the photos, I’m just enhancing what’s already there, rather than trying to change everything. This way, the pictures look more authentic and natural, and that’s what I’m going for. I’m especially drawn to black and white. Some moments feel stronger without colour. When expression, contrast, and emotion are all that’s left.

Each photo gallery tells a complete story, not just a bunch of highlights thrown together. The idea is simple: to create images that feel real, polished, and still resonate with people years later.

What it’s like to work together

Calm, grounded, and quietly there when you need me.

I photograph weddings the way I learned to photograph wildlife. By waiting for reality, not creating it.

      Observation first, camera second.

      Here’s what that looks like:

      • I let emotion unfold naturally

      • I use natural light for warmth and interiority

      • I move with intuition, not checklist posing

      • I pick beautiful locations that match your style

      • I capture connection rather than performance

Your wedding won’t look like everyone else’s.

      It’ll look like you.

      Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should we book you for our wedding/elopement?

It’s always a good idea to book at least 6-12 months in advance, especially for popular wedding seasons or destination weddings. However, if you’re planning something more spontaneous, feel free to reach out, and I’ll do my best to accommodate you!

Do you travel for weddings and elopements?

Yes, I absolutely love travelling for weddings and elopements! Based in Toulouse, I’m available throughout France and internationally. Whether it’s a dreamy destination wedding or a quiet elopement in a remote location, I’m here to capture your special day wherever it may be.

What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

While I love outdoor settings, I’m fully prepared for any weather! We’ll discuss backup plans before the big day. In the event of rain, we can find shelter or use the atmosphere to create something truly magical and unique.

How many hours of coverage do we need?

It depends on the type of wedding or elopement you’re planning! For a more intimate celebration, 2-4 hours might be enough, while larger weddings may need 6-10 hours of coverage. I offer different packages to suit your needs, but we can discuss the best option based on your plans.

How many photos will we receive?

The number of photos you receive depends on the length of coverage, but for a full wedding, you can expect anywhere from 400-600 edited images. For elopements, it may be fewer, but you’ll still get a beautiful collection of images that truly tell your story.

Do we need a second photographer?

For weddings with over 75 guests, I highly recommend adding a second photographer to ensure that every special moment is captured from different angles. As part of a network of photographers, I can bring along a second shooter for an additional €600. This allows for a more comprehensive collection of images, ensuring no moment is missed.

What happens if you're sick on the day of our wedding?

In the rare case that I am unable to attend due to illness, I have a strong network of trusted photographers I can call upon. I will ensure that your day is still beautifully captured by a professional with a style similar to mine. Additionally, I will personally take care of the editing process to ensure that the final images reflect my unique style and the story of your day. Your wedding is important to me, and I will make sure you’re in good hands.

Do you offer albums or prints?

At the moment, I don’t offer albums or prints directly. However, I’m more than happy to recommend trusted partners where you can create beautiful, high-quality albums and prints that reflect the essence of your day. We can discuss all the options available to you during the planning process!

Do we need to cater for you on the day of the wedding?

No need to worry about catering for me! I understand that you already have a lot to think about. I’ll be perfectly fine with just coffee and water throughout the day to keep me going, so you can focus on your celebration without any extra considerations.

Ready to Capture Your Special Day?
