I photograph humans and wildlife, and honestly, it doesn’t feel like two different jobs.
As a zoologist, I’ve learned to be patient and still, often waiting for hours on end for that one perfect moment to unfold. It’s not like you can ask a bird to redo a particular move or persuade a fox to pose in better light. They’re not exactly cooperative models, are they? You just have to sit back, observe, and hope that something truly special will happen. And when it does, it’s all the more magical because it’s so fleeting and unpredictable.
That stayed with me.
Now I spend my time moving between forests and wedding or session days. The approach is the same. I watch first. I pay attention. I let things settle instead of turning them into a performance.
I love taking pictures of animals in their natural habitat; it’s something I’m really passionate about. When I’m not behind the lens, you can bet I’m spending time with my fur baby, Meru. He’s always by my side, whether we’re out on an adventure or just lounging around at home. He’s got a knack for knowing exactly when I’m editing photos, and he’ll curl up next to me, sometimes giving me this look like he’s questioning my life choices.
